The Department of Corporative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) amended its COVID-19 Regulations through Government Gazette No. 45855 of 1 February 2022. As per these amended COGTA Regulations, the Minister of Basic Education is also expected to amend the DBE Directions.
The ISASA Legal and Policy Department has distributed a memorandum that sets out the contents of the amended COGTA Regulations and the Cabinet announcement of 31 January 2022, while we await amendment of the DBE Directions.
