The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and ISASA are proud to invite pupils entering Grade 12 in 2019 to attend a week-long set of workshops aimed at developing advanced Mathematics and Science competencies.

This opportunity is available exclusively to ISASA member-school pupils currently completing Grade 11, and who are taking Mathematics and Physical Science as matric subjects.

The course has been carefully curated and will be presented by a range of dynamic undergraduate and postgraduate MIT students.

  • Dates: Monday, 7 January – Friday, 11 January 2019.
  • Times: 09:00 – 15:00 daily.
  • Venue: St John’s College, Houghton.
  • Cost: Only R750 for the entire week for day attendees. R3 000 per student requiring accommodation and meals at St John’s College.

There are only 60 places available for this enrichment opportunity and, though preference will be given to those pupils who are doing Advanced Programme Mathematics, the only other criteria is how soon an applicant completes the on-line registration. Please remember that only pupils from ISASA member schools may apply to attend the seminar.

Limited financial assistance is available for out-of-town applicants who require the provided accommodation and meals.
