The ISASA Toolkit for Transformation and Diversity is meant to offer member schools a broad understanding of and guidelines for addressing issues of diversity, transformation and social justice in the independent school environment. To this end, the Toolkit provides steps that may be followed in the process of transformation in respect of the following three components or levels of engagement:
- Advocacy (Messages for the School Community)
- Institutional Change (Road Map for Schools)
- Individual Change and Development (A Change Process)
While the Toolkit consists of these three parts they should not be seen as separate and stand-alone initiatives. Activities in the three components complement and support each other and together create an enabling environment for change and development in the school.
