 Kearsney College is a leading independent boys’ day and boarding high school near Durban.
We require the services of dynamic candidates to join our academic staff with effect from the start of the 3rd term 2008 or as soon thereafter as possible.
HEAD OF DEPARTMENT: COMPUTER STUDIES
The successful applicant will need to possess suitable qualifications and an innovative approach to teaching IT to Grade 12 level using the Java programming language. Exceptional abilities to head an outstanding department with the necessary vision and motivation are required to develop the subject of IT across Grades 8 and 9 and Grades 10 to 12 in accordance with regulations set out by the IEB. Responsibilities would also include training staff with the integration of IT skills into their subjects. Candidates must be prepared to be involved in our extensive extra-mural programme and perform supervisory duties in the boarding establishment.
