SAALED Congress 2008 (08:00)
SAALED
SAALED (the Southern African Association for Learning and Educational Difficulties) welcomes you to attend the congress:

From Inclusion to Belonging: Widening the Classroom Circle
9th -12th July 2008

9th - 11th July 2008:
The venue is The Forum, Dimension Data Campus, Bryanston.

12th July 2008:
The venue will change to the WITS University Great Hall.

Each day will be from about 08h00-17h00.

The congress is open to all who are involved with children who, for whatever reason, would be challenged in regular classrooms. This means that educators, therapists, parents and health care professionals, and all who are interested, are welcome to attend.

It is inspired by the notion that at some time or another all children experience barriers to learning. Using personal testimonies and examples from research and best practice, the congress will strengthen delegates' awareness of the significant paradigm shift required for Inclusion to be successful.

The quality of presenters is quite outstanding and includes Dr Mel Levine, Prof of Paediatrics at the University of North Carolina Medical School and known for ‘A Mind at a Time’. Dr Levine will be conducting a presentation on 12 July as part of the congress.

Registration for the congress will be limited. An additional 200 people who have not attended the congress, will be able to attend the Mel Levine presentation on 12 July. In order for delegates to qualify for early registration, the registration form including payment will have to be received by 30 April 2008.
