Thembelisha Preparatory is a co-educational school which offers quality all-round education equipping learners to deal with the challenges of their changing world.

Situated in North Eastern Swaziland, on the Royal Swaziland Sugar Corporation estate, the school offers, as its name means, a “Dawn of New Hope”.

The school emphasizes quality and Christian values. Spread out across three dedicated campuses, it is able to optimize the learning experience in each of the three phases of the school, namely:

• Pre-Preparatory (Grade RR – Grade R)
• Junior Preparatory (Grade 1 - 3)
• Senior Preparatory (Grade 4 - 7).

Firm and fair discipline and positive motivation lay down an ethical foundation, while a wide range of academic, sporting and cultural activities provide a sound platform for individual expression, recognition and achievement.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMME

Our dedicated and experienced staff are well qualified to offer the balanced and varied curriculum, based on both the New Revised National Curriculum statements and those laid down by the Swaziland Ministry of Education.

Learners are encouraged to develop to their latent potential and to foster confidence, self-worth, creativity and accountability, as well as critical higher order thinking skills. Learners receive individual attention in small classes, which enable them to gain the necessary recognition, encouragement and support.

Class and subject teaching occur from Grades 4 to 7. All aspects of a child’s development are covered by our curriculum. The medium of instruction is English, but SiSwati is a compulsory subject. Class tours and excursions form part of our enrichment programme in all grades.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Many activities are offered and learners compete against other independent school leagues in Swaziland.

OUTREACH

Through support and involvement in community projects to assist those less advantaged, we strive to develop a social conscience in all of our learners.
