The McGregor Waldorf School and College is situated in a peaceful rural village and brings together children of different cultural, social, economic and language backgrounds.
Our vision is to provide children with the opportunity to grow in self-esteem and to develop the skills that will assist them in forging a place for themselves in the world and creating a sustainable future for our country.
In the primary and middle school, the curriculum and methods stimulate independent thinking and encourage working constructively with others. Mathematics, languages, natural science and the cultural subjects are fully integrated. Lessons incorporate storytelling, drama, movement, painting, music, handwork and crafts.
In the college learners receive a practical training that equips them to find meaningful work after school or manage their own businesses while at the same time allowing them to write matric examinations. The inclusion of artistic courses ensures a fully rounded education that fosters an innovative and constructive approach to the world.
The hostel accommodates learners from grade 7 – grade 12.
