In the early 1950’s Parkmore was a relatively new suburb full of young couples. The property developer, Roberts and Co. realised the need for a nursery school in the area, and allocated a double stand between 8th and 9th streets.  In March 1961, Parkmore Nursery School was officially opened.

In 50 years, Parkmore has had 8 Principals who have guided the school to its present level of excellence.  Over the years, the school has expanded considerably with alterations and improvements being made on a regular basis to satisfy the needs of the approximately 80 learners.

Parkmore Nursery School is a non-profit company (NPC).

OUR OBJECTIVE

Parkmore Nursery School provides comprehensive pre-school education for young children in a close knit (loving) and caring environment.  Each child is a unique individual and will be guided to develop in all areas to their full potential.  We have highly competent and qualified teachers and assistants in each of our four groups.

SCHOOL TERMS AND HOURS

The school follows the Independent School terms and operates from 7h15 to 12h30. There is a “linger longer” until 13h30 at an additional cost.

ADMISSION POLICY

Children may be granted admission to the school if they are between two and five years.  A R150 deposit is required to accompany an application form. The school has long waiting lists and early application is advisable.
