School Type: Co-Educational

The first Holy Cross Sisters came to SA in 1883. All Holy Cross learners, staff and special guests from Cape Town will celebrate this 125th anniversary on 16th Sept 2008 with a concelebrated Mass in Kuilsrivier. The presiding priest will be Catholic Archbishop Lawrence Henry of Cape Town.

Holy Cross Brooklyn strives to continue this mission of Jesus in our little school, which was founded (one standard at a time) in January 1959. Four Holy Cross Sisters are still central to the Whole Way of life at Holy Cross Brooklyn.

Our learners come from diverse back grounds - socially, economically, racially and from a variety of Religious affiliations - 99% are Christian while ± 60 are Catholic. Our parents send their children to our school because of our strong and deeply rooted Christian value system, convictions and family spirit

We have a high standard of Education, which includes the normal school curriculum, extra languages to all learners, e.g. Portuguese and Xhosa, a variety of extra-mural activities and a very well developed and proud music department.

Parents appreciate our sound discipline, which enables and empowers the young to grow with dignity and pride while affording others the same opportunity and rights.

Our teaching staff are very committed Christians and have a great sense of mission and vocation, are highly qualified and dedicated to the well-being and development of our children at all levels of their education.

The success of our past learners at various High Schools and places of tertiary education prove that with the above in place, every dream is possible!
