School Type: Co-Educational

Bryanston Pre-Primary School has been in existence since 1963, evolving from a small playgroup to a fully operational school. The eight classes range in size from 12 to 20 children, with a maximum of six months age difference between the oldest and youngest child in a class.

The principal, Debra Wallace, has run the school since 1996. The teachers and office staff are all qualified, dedicated and experienced. They are all also first aid trained. Bryanston Pre-Primary prides itself on a professional approach and a high standard of education within a loving and caring environment.

The school is set on one acre and has a large garden which contains a cycle track, sand pits, swings, an extensive jungle gym, a woodwork bench, water play troughs, a boat and fully furnished outdoor fantasy corner.

Included in the school fees are: hot lunch, stationery, toiletries, sunscreen, juice and hot chocolate, weekly baking, music lessons, sports lessons, monthly puppet shows and termly outings. Aftercare and holiday care are available on a regular or casual basis. The school employs a mandatory school hat rule, and teachers apply sunscreen to children’s faces before they play outside. A variety of extra murals such as ballet, karate, Kindermusik, Yoga and pottery are offered on the school premises. A number of security measures are in place to ensure the safety of all children attending the school.

Family involvement is encouraged through events such as Grandparent’s Day, Father & Child Day, Mother & Child Day, Concerts, Parent evenings, Coffee mornings, Cake Sales, Birthday Rings and a Mini Walk to name a few. An active parent’s committee gets involved with the planning and preparation of the various functions.

Bryanston Pre-Primary School is a feeder school to both private and public schools and has established itself as a professional educational institution. The School is a fun, exciting introduction to education and the children are well prepared for primary school both socially and academically once they leave. We believe children learn through play and wish to instil a love for learning.
