Enjabulweni School

School Type: Co-Educational

Enjabulweni is a siSwati word meaning “place of happiness”. This was, and remains the vision of Enjabulweni – to provide a place of education where pupils can learn in a happy, encouraging environment.

Enjabulweni School was created in 1988. It was born out of a need for an independent co-educational primary school that could cater for nationals as well as children of expatriates. It is situated on an expansive campus in the rural outskirts of Manzini and is a modern fully equipped school offering a curriculum that is both academically and vocationally orientated. Enjabulweni has a both Primary and High School situated on a single campus.

Our pupils are immersed in an education based on international trends. Our teachers, having investigated and researched the developments in education in various parts of the world, strive to provide each pupil with a curriculum that is innovative and appropriate to the needs of the individual.

While focusing on academic excellence, we strive to maintain a balance between academics, sport and cultural activities. A wide choice of cultural activities are offered to our pupils. Our pupils compete in the independent leagues against the other independent schools in Swaziland. The competition is exciting and challenging thus encouraging the individual to enjoy true sportsmanship.

There are other admirable schools with the same vision, aims and objectives, but what Enjabulweni hopes to offer is:

  • A style – not easy to define, but there all the same.
Not particularly bookish, but academically vigorous, thoughtful and intelligent.
  • Competitive certainly, as befits a school such as ours, but also relaxed and good-humoured.
  • Independent of spirit.
  • Hardly arty, but capable of surprising with the passion of its music, art, drama and design and technology.
  • Strongly collegiate, with an easy relationship between teachers and taught, and seniors and juniors. For all their diversity, individuality and independence, Enjabulweni children tend to recognise each other, on leaving the school, as having been shaped by the same institution.
