ACADEMICS
- Kingfisher took top awards at the 2004 District Science Exposition, winning the trophy for "Best School" for the fourth consecutive year. Students brought back a gold, four silver and two bronze medals from the 2004 National Science Exposition!
- Academic honours and colours are awarded, and Kingfisher students write both Government and Independent examinations, as well as a range of Triathlons and Olympiades – with excellent results.
- State-of-the-art science and biology laboratories and a fully-equipped computer centre.
- Kingfisher is a member of the Independent Schools' Association of Southern Africa, and is proud to uphold its exacting standards in all aspects of school life.
SPORT
Kingfisher is affiliated to all relevant sporting bodies. In the past year Kingfisher learners have achieved Limpopo Colours at athletics, crosscountry and swimming; and we are proud that a Kingfisher pupil is the South African U/8 Cross-Country Champion.
Sports offered include athletics, biathlon, cricket, mini-cricket, tennis, mini-tennis, hockey, cross-country, swimming, synchronised swimming and Secondary School archery.
CULTURAL
- Cultural extra-murals include Eco-Club, Chess, Culture Vultures, Kingfisher Outreach and a Catering Club with an outstanding reputation.
- Concerts and Revues are held regularly.
